Dog Parks in the Tricities!
We’ve compiled a little list of all of the local dog parks, so you and your furry friend can find the best spot to hang.
Coquitlam
Leigh Dog Park
This large off-leash park has plenty of space to run, and a separate enclosure for small dogs. Perks - water fountain and benches for humans. Located at Roxton Avenue and Soball Street on Burke Mountain.
Glen Park Off-Leash Park
This park has a lot of trees and obstacles, so fun for dogs to run and play. It also features a separate enclosure for smaller dogs. Perks - tons of parking. Located on Glen Drive and Pipeline.
Mundy Park Off-Leash Park
Adjacent to Mundy is this great little dog park. Lots of space for your pup to run and enjoy! Perks - ample parking and great trails at Mundy for on-leash fun. This park is frequented by bears, so just be aware!
Bramble Dog Park
Right on the border of Port Moody and Coquitlam is Bramble Dog Park. This one is a little smaller but still works for giving your furry friend a little off-leash time. Perks - On the Coquitlam Crunch. Located at David Avenue and Lansdowne.
Miller Park Off-Leash Park
This park isn’t fenced but has a designated off-leash area, so if your dog needs to work on their recall, it might not be the best spot for them! Perks - beautiful scenery! Located on Oakview Street.
Port Coquitlam
Shaughnessy Dog Park
This very large treed park is a great space for your pup to run and play. Separate enclosure for little dogs. Perks - large parking lot, located on the Treboulay Trail system, which takes you to the Coquitlam River (good place for a swim!), water fountain and benches for humans. Located at Shaughnessy and Salisbury.
Maple Dog Park
Very basic park, good for a little run. This park is often muddy and doesn’t offer a lot in terms of extras, but gets the job done if your best pal needs to burn off some energy. Located on Maple Street, between Wilson Avenue and Marpole Avenue.
Port Moody
Port Moody Dog Park
Located in Rocky Point Park, this dog park has everything. Hills! Trees! Obstacles! Bonus points for having several doggo-friendly breweries across the street. Separate enclosure for small dogs. Perks - water fountain and super central location. Located on Murray Street.
Westhill Dog Park
Westhill park is a different vibe - it’s a 2.2km hike that allows you to have your dog off-leash. Beautiful scenery and a fairly easy to moderate trail for you and Fido to enjoy. Located on Westhill Place.
