Community Information

Coquitlam is located at the centre of the Lower Mainland and is bordered by the municipalities of Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby and New Westminster, as well as the Fraser River to the south, Pitt River to the East and the Coastal Mountains to the North. There are over 9,400 homes and a wide variety of commercial services in the Coquitlam Town Centre.

Schools

School District #43 serves the community of Coquitlam as well as the neighbouring communities of Anmore, Belcarra, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.  Current Burke Mountain area schools are Leigh Elementary, Minnekhada Middle, Kwayquitlam Middle and Pinetree Secondary School.  Also located nearby are Douglas College and Simon Fraser University.  Many options are available for adult education and recreational learning.

When fully developed, Burke Mountain will feature five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school.
