There are seemingly endless options for things to do in Vancouver during the summer time. The weather is incredible, everyone is in a great mood and the scenery is world class. It might even be the greatest place in the world during these warm summer months! We're faced with so many options, and if you're like us, it's hard to decide. So, it's our quest to help you find fun things to do close to home.
Here's our top 5 things to do on Burke Mountain this summer:
#1 – Galloway Spray Park: Bring the kids and a picnic and enjoy the splash pad at Galloway Park. The splash pad is on the smaller side, but there’s tons of room to play on the grass and in the awesome.
#2 – Take a Hike: There are so many amazing trails on Burke Mountain. Our suggestions? Take a hike into Munro or Dennan Lake and have a quick dip.
#3 – River Float: Grab your tube and have a float down the Coquitlam River! Great access points all along the river, and you can float all the way down to Gates Park in Port Coquitlam.
#4 – Outdoor Movie Night: Invite the neighbours, pull up some chairs and make enough popcorn to feed the little army.
#5 – Head to an outdoor pool: There are several in the area: Centennial Pool in Poco @ Shaughnessey & Coquitlam Avenue (Aggie Park) or Eagle Ridge Outdoor Pool @ Guildford & Lansdowne.
